OUR THEORY OF CHANGE
Be the change you want to eat.
Because we couldn’t do any of this without you. What you eat and how it’s grown matters—to your health and the health of the food system we share. We believe that, with your help, we’re earning our place as an influential voice for change and an advocate for a more regenerative food system, making it easier for everyone to eat organic, sustainably grown fruits and vegetables.
rooted in organic
How our food is grown matters.
Organic is more than a sticker on a banana—it’s an approach to agriculture that improves land now and for future generations. We believe organic farming practices are a foundation for regenerative farming principles rooted in a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of soil, plants, people, water, and animals. Healthy soil has been shown to grow more nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables…which can create more nourishing food. That means the food we offer you can do more for your health and well being (and the planet’s too).
Organic standards are high. That’s fine; so are ours.
committed to change
The people who grow our food matter.
We believe regenerative farming is empowered farming. It’s a set of principles and practices unique to each farm and farmer, based on variables like climate, crop, and region. So each farmer needs the freedom to make decisions that come from their own experience, knowledge of their land, and willingness to engage in a process that can be costly, time-consuming, and out of reach for many farmers.
We’re committed to forming lasting relationships with values-aligned organizations and people who put their labor, love, and patience into growing the food that keeps us fed. We offer meaningful support and funding to help them make real change. And when you choose Daily Harvest, you're joining us in making a difference.
FOOD AS MEDICINE
What we eat matters.
The science is clear: Eating fruits and vegetables has been shown to help you feel better. Amazing, even. Our focus on the health of our food system is directly related to human health: Food grown with organic standards (no chemical pesticides, no GMOs, the works) has been shown to be richer in nutrients and better for your body.
A plant-rich diet can support heart and gut health, help manage some diabetes, reduce your risk for disease and cognitive decline, and more. Committing to change can be challenging, we know—so we partner with trusted health experts and rely on science-backed dietary protocols to develop meals—and even meal plans—that help you move closer to your goals.
